STELLA HONEY YOON 10'

Stella Honey Yoon is a melodramatic, sentimental, at times sardonic and usually entertaining eighteen-year-old Kiwirean who has her spiritual home in Aotearoa New Zealand and resides in an apartment with an incredibly attractive receptionist, in Bundang, Korea. She can be found daydreaming on park benches, reading in brunch cafes, playing on her maple-bodied acoustic guitar that she calls “Freddie”, or having a long, life-changing chat with one of her mates. Her idols are Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, her sweets Nesian Mystik, Guy Sebastian and her soul sistas Beyoncé and Alicia Keys. She loves The Masters: Witi Ihimaera, Chan Wook Park, Toni Morrison, Edie Sedgwick, Gus Van Sant, Truman Capote and Roald Dahl.
She loves people who are funny, inspiring and creative. She values honesty and trust in relationships and will give you her everything if you are one of her beloved. Her main interests lie on more artistic areas such as MUSIC, creative writing, photography and fashion design. At her former high school in NZ she had music as her major and fashion as her minor; since coming back to The Motherland she has taken a more academic turn, falling in love with English and comparative literature. Over the summer of 2009, she met one of the biggest changes in her life and career, and opened her eyes to “social change.” Finally legal in the year of 2010, (The big Asian-Age Twenty!) she is hoping to indulge in a life of singing, dancing, rendezvousing, auditioning, travelling and more.
Combining her artistic interests and the newfound passions gained in areas of social sciences, mainly psychology, sociology and public policy, she hopes to make her mark in the field of Arts and Public Policy. She dreams of a world where the arts become the true hallmarks of a sophisticated culture, this sophistication arising from an environment where everyone, regardless of his walk of life and status, can delve into the pure manifestations of the human instinct. Fostering an environment where the arts thrive as a part of man's vitality and food for the soul is her ultimate salvation for herself and for this world she is truly blessed to be in.
